The power went out overnight and it’s not scheduled to return until this evening, so I’m sitting in front of the fire with a wool appliqué project that I’ve worked on sporadically over the last 15 months or so.

Wool Appliqué
The pattern is “Oak Leaf Clusters” from the Shades of Yesteryear series by Lake View Primitives.

Do you keep any hand stitching available for occasions like this?

  1. I actually do have a wool quilt that I am buttonhole, hand stitching. I take the blocks on my camping trips for rainy days. At this rate, I will finish it in about 10 years.

  2. Hope your power comes back soon. Always good to have some hand work about! I always have something!

  3. Hopefully you are doing that in the daylight! It is good to keep busy and I hope that your power comes back on real soon.
