Oliso Smart Iron

As always, no matter how late in the day I post What I Made Monday, the link-up stays open all week! So please post links to your blog or Instagram posts no matter what day of the week it is–I love to see what you’ve been up to.

Woo-hoo, I finished all of the blocks! I’ve also made a plan for the top and started stitching together some of the strips I’ll be using to fill in some bits.

I’m using only fabrics that I dyed specifically for this challenge.

Border Quilt Quilt-Along

I got the first three borders attached to the Border Quilt, and have to get the fourth one cut for next week. Did you see the latest post about borders 1 & 2? It’s not too late to join the bloggers who are quilting along with Patterns by Jen!

UFO Challenge

I quilted the latest UFO last Monday, but I haven’t bound it yet. I’m planning a faux flange machine binding for this one.

A few years ago during a shop hop, I won a small fat quarter bundle and a book (Fat Quarter Quilts by M’liss Rae Hawley) from a shop that has since closed. The pattern is from the book and is called Broken Bricks.

Artful Improv

I took a road trip with a quilting friend down to Artistic Artifacts over the weekend. We took a workshop with Cindy Grisdela and had a wonderful time! I brought along leftovers from the #100Days100Blocks2018 quilt to play with. I haven’t gotten any good pics of my work yet, but here’s the view from my seat.

I loved getting a close look at Cindy’s work, and I came home with lots of new ideas and quilting inspiration!

Plans for This Week

Putting hanging sleeves on my kids’ quilts, my mom’s quilt, and the race bib quilt, all of which will hang in my local guild’s show on October 13-14 (this has to get done like NOW). Binding the UFO. Sitting down to focus on Sticky Candy (ugh, why can’t I focus on this). Working on the #100Days100Blocks2018 top.
