It’s time to share What I Made for What I Made Monday! Share a link at the bottom of the post to show everyone what you made, too.
Island Batik Ambassador May Challenge
The May Island Batik Ambassador challenge is “Make It Modern with Hobbs”, and I loved how my quilt turned out SO much that I wrote up a pattern and sent it out to my intrepid testers on short notice. Watch for Pippin‘s release later this week!
Sew Let’s Quilt Along
Spring Clean Your Studio Blog Hop
Cheryl Sleboda has accomplished what many have tried to do and failed. She inspired me to clean off my long-arm, which had become to me what a treadmill is to many: a dumping ground. While I still have some areas to work on, I accomplished SO much more than I expected–and in time to post my improved workspace for the hop! Head to my post for a complete schedule.
A side effect of studio reorganization is that old projects pop up and remind me that they exist. One night this week, I couldn’t sleep. I ended up pulling an all-nighter and doing all sorts of chain piecing and pressing and whatever other mindless tasks I could manage in the middle of the night. I finished up the blocks for the old Periwinkle quilt…
…and found a box of half-square triangles that I’d intended for an Ocean Waves quilt. I hadn’t cut any of the other fabric yet, so I decided to abandon the original plan and just put all those HSTs together.
Island Batik Ambassador June Project
The June challenge is “Try It!” and y’all know I’m all over THAT. I found my inspiration in the April/May 2019 issue of Quilting Arts. Quilting: almost done. This one has been so much fun.
Plans for This Week
Release Pippin! Finish the June Island Batik Ambassador project.
