It’s time to share What I Made for What I Made Monday! Share a link at the bottom of the post to show everyone what you made, too.
I realized that I don’t have any Valentine’s Day quilts, so that was my project of choice last week. It’s always good to get a little paper piecing practice.
If you read the Magnificent Mini post all the way to the bottom, you may have spotted another YouTube video. I had fun staging this one! It showcases the contents of the Ready, Set, Go box that Accuquilt sent as part of the Island Batik ambassador package. Side note: use coupon code 20QUBES for $20 off Qube purchases through February 14.
I changed my plans for the Text It! blog hop project. I ended up not adding any stitching around the appliques. I hand-stitched the last detail, then basted the sandwich together to prepare for quilting. I have a general idea of how I’m going to quilt it…but knowing me, that will change, too.
March Project: Vintage Reimagined
I worked ahead on the next Island Batik project and got all nine blocks done. I LOVE these fabrics, and they’re a welcome change of scenery from all of the snow outside. There’s a great story behind this quilt; I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Birds on a Thread Meeting
My OTHER art quilt group had our quarterly meeting on Saturday where we displayed our Upcycled challenge quilts. They all measure 12″ x 12″, but other than that, they don’t have much in common. It’s neat to see how differently we all interpreted the theme. Mine is the coffee-themed one, which I wrote about in a blog post last month. Our next theme is Masks.
Plans for This Week
I have some work to do to get ready for the next Partners in Design quilt-along–the theme will be announced on the 26th, and with a trip to QuiltCon coming up next week, I want to get as much done this week as I can! Are you going to QuiltCon in Nashville? I can’t wait to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
