It’s time to share What I Made for What I Made Monday! Share a link at the bottom of the post to show everyone what you made, too.
Union Square Block
I’m excited to participate in the Union Square Quilt-Along with Fat Quarter Shop. I put together my block yesterday and it turned out GREAT. I really enjoyed the process, and I have a couple of tips to share with you when the QAL starts. You can order a Union Square Quilt Kit and quilt along, too!
March Project: Vintage Reimagined
The stars aligned and I finished the top for the next Island Batik project. Deciding how to quilt it, as always, will be the hard part.
One of my favorite things about this quilt was that I managed to design it so that I could use the AccuQuilt Go! Qube for almost the entire top–all of the blocks and most of the sashing. It really simplified the process.
The quilt studio needed rejuvenation. I sent my large comfy chair out to the garage for my husband (really for the dog, I think) and opened up some options to rearrange the rest of the furniture. There’s still some work to do before posting pictures, but the process of reorganizing brought some old projects to the surface. I found a bunch of red and cream blocks (made from Moda’s Redwork Renaissance) that I think date to 2013–so rather than find a place to put them and forget about them for another six years, I made two baby quilt tops that I’ll finish and give to my guild’s Outreach Committee for the local hospital.
The box with one of the UFOs that I was working on for the 2018 UFO challenge also popped up again, so I made a lot of headway on that (and in fact, have filled the design wall since this pic was taken).
Plans for This Week
My plans for this week are simple–go to Quilt Con and take lots of pictures! I hope to see you there.
