What I Made Monday with Pretty Piney

It’s time to share What I Made for What I Made Monday! Share a link at the bottom of the post to show everyone what you made, too.

FTC Disclosure

Last week was filled with quilty goodness, but not a whole lot of making. I got a handle on the Mask art quilt (no sewing yet, though). I visited the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts with one of the art quilt groups I belong to.

My local guild held a brown bag mystery auction. Check out THIS score!

And I’m sure you saw the blog posts. Partners in Design released the first Sew Let’s Quilt Along block, Rebecca Mae Design’s Text It! blog hop wrapped up, and a quilt from 1895 found new life.

Liberty of London Half Square Triangles

I picked up a couple of mini-charm packs of Liberty tana lawn in Nashville at QuiltCon, and I made a nice collection of tiny half square triangles using a Bloc Loc ruler. They’ll be a mini quilt. I think I’ve settled on a layout (this isn’t it).

Island Batik Ambassador April Challenge

I started on the next Island Batik Ambassador challenge: the AccuQuilt Ready Set GO baby quilt. Here’s a sneak peek in black and white:

Plans for This Week

Fat Quarter Shop puts out free block patterns as part of their Classic & Vintage series, plus (paid) quilt patterns and kits that go along with them. I made a block for their upcoming blog hop–watch for it later this week! I’m going to order a bit of fabric to finish the Liberty mini and assemble the baby quilt blocks for the April challenge.

  1. Hi Becca! You’ve got a lot going on. I can see all the fabric goodness even in the black and while photo, and it has stars. Never met a star I didn’t love. I’ll keep an eye open for your block – can’t wait to see it. ~smile~ Roseanne
