It’s time to share What I Made for What I Made Monday! Share a link at the bottom of the post to show everyone what you made, too.
Island Batik Ambassador April Challenge
It’s finished! It’s finished! The April Island Batik Ambassador challenge (a baby quilt made using the AccuQuilt Ready Set GO dies) has been quilted and bound and photographed–watch for a blog post later this week. Meanwhile, check out this cool reflection from the photo shoot yesterday:
I pulled out the Derwent Inktense pencils to add some color to the Mask quilt for the Birds on a Thread art quilt group, and added all sorts of embroidery. It’s getting close to finished. I feel like there needs to be something more, but I’m not sure what.
Upping My Embroidery Game
Finished! The Daily Embroidery Challenge with Rebecca Ringquist on CreativeBug was worth the time. I feel much more confident in my embroidery, and I’m looking forward to learning more. Next, though, I’m going to practice some beading. You can get the Drawing Stitches pre-printed sampler panel here.
Island Batik Ambassador May Challenge
After taking so long to finish the quilting on the April challenge, the May project (Make It Modern with Hobbs Batting) went considerably faster. Yesterday morning, it was a pile of fabric. I put the final stitches in the binding (by hand) just before Game of Thrones last night.
Plans for This Week
I pulled out my Comfort Quilt QAL , which has been waiting to be sewn into rows for quite some time, and got some of the rows together. I’d like to finish that top. Plus, at midnight Eastern, the next Sew Let’s Quilt Along block comes out. Block Four was fun to make, even with a few tiny pieces!
