It’s time to share What I Made for What I Made Monday! Share a link at the bottom of the post to show everyone what you made, too.
No big spectacular finishes this week! Just steady progress. I got a little bit more quilting done on Sticky Candy–I don’t know why I can’t seem to just sit and finish it. The first two borders have been finished for the Border Quilt Quilt-Along, and numbers three and four are in progress. Watch for that post on Wednesday!
Windows to the East
I finished repairing and cleaning the cathedral windows quilt that my mom made in 2008. Now to put a sleeve on it!
Still keeping up! I’ve worked ahead to day 92. The end is in sight!
I basted this old quilt top and planned some simple quilting. It’s on my list for today, because I feel like I need to finish something.
After picking up some paints and hand-carved wood block stamps at the quilt expo last week, of course I had to experiment a bit.
Art Quilt Background
I used some dupioni silk and hand-dyed cotton in an improv exercise that may end up as the background for my art quilt group’s “Bird” challenge. I haven’t decided yet. If not, it’ll get used some other way because I FREAKING LOVE IT.
Plans for This Week
Finishing the next UFO. Sitting down to focus on Sticky Candy. Finishing the #100Days100Blocks2018 blocks and planning the setting. Putting hanging sleeves on my kids’ quilts, my mom’s quilt, and the race bib quilt, all of which will hang in my local guild’s show on October 13-14.
